Alvor is an old fishing village situated on an estuary of the river Rio in the Algarve. It has changed quite a lot since the dawn of tourism in the 1960’s, however the buildings remain mainly low-rise and the old town has kept its charm with it cobbled streets and friendly atmosphere.
