King Edward Bay Golf Course
King Edward Bay Golf Course is superbly maintained and affords some of the best views on the Island, on the outskirts of the Island’s capital, Douglas.
This 18 hole links has some of the best views on the Island due to our elevated position and a round of golf at King Edward Bay will be a memorable one. The springy mountain turf is quite exceptional and there are some most impressive holes, including the short fourteenth, a par three with a carry over the heather and a magnificent view of Douglas Bay in the background.
The course is relatively short course, measuring only 5221 yards over 18 holes with a par of 67, and it is superbly maintained by its dedicated team of green keepers.
King Edward Bay Golf Course, formally known as Howstrake, has a long and fascinating History. Founded in 1894 , the course has gone through a variety of transformations since it was laid out by Tom Morris from St. Andrews. The ups and downs of the course closely mirror the fortunes of the Isle of Man through the 20th century. The present owners, Golf and Leisure Limited acquired the course in 1985. The past 25 years have seen King Edward Bay restored to its former glory , with 18 holes of challenging Golf coupled with a superb club house and restaurant.
