Alicante Golf Course
Alicante Golf is on the Mediterranean coast, next to the spectacular San Juan beach and only 5 minutes from the centre of Alicante.A green haven set in a residential area, the course features wide fairways lined with thousands of trees.
Severiano Ballesteros designed this fantastic par 72 course that includes six par-three holes, six par-four holes and six par-five holes, meaning that no two consecutive holes are played with the same par in any one round. This format makes play more varied and entertaining and gives golfers many more chances of scoring a birdie.
Alicante Golf is regarded as one of the best designed and maintained in the whole of Spain. Other great features of the course are the practice area, with a natural grass driving range and a fully-equipped short game area, plus the ruins of a Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC at Hole 14. The ruins came to light during building work on the course and the ball has to clear them to get to the green.
The Ballesteros designed Alicante golf course is unique as it is the only golf course in Spain that consists of 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5 holes. Water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes which adds to both the challenge and enjoyment of Alicante golf course.
