Woodenbridge Golf Course is located in a scenic valley and runs alongside the Avoca River, providing the golf course with stunning scenery throughout the round. Although renowned as one of the top courses in the Wicklow area today, Woodenbridge was originally only a 9-hole course until 1994 when Paddy Merrigan was commissioned to design the additional 9-hole layout and extend Woodenbridge to an 18-hole Par 71 layout.
